8th August 2011
E-mail from Clive Copeland Recreation Manager, South East, British Cycling, National Cycling Centre
Dear Chairman,
I am mailing you to let you know of an exciting cycling opportunity for all the residents of Bournemouth.
Bournemouth Borough Council in partnership with British Cycling and Sky is part of a national campaign to inspire and help everyone no matter what age or ability to get on their bikes and have fun. The ambition is to get 1 million more people cycling regularly by 2013 and we’ve created a whole ranges of ways to get involved from big traffic free events to local led rides to bike maintenance courses, women only rides and training. There is something for everyone.
Please find attached information on the Bournemouth Sky ride local programme which begins this Sunday 7th August. This series of fun, friendly and FREE community bike rides are led by a British Cycling trained leader who can provide support and give you a few tips whatever your age, with four ride levels available to suit all abilities from beginner to experienced riders.
Are you able to assist me in promoting these free bike rides within the community please ?
If you need any further information then please do contact me.
Regards,
Clive Copeland
