Bournemouth Daily Echo Obituary by Adrian Fisher - 11th January 2013
3rd January 2013
Dr. Fisher died peacefully on 19th December 2012, aged 90 years.
A Physician practising in this area of Bournemouth since 1948, latterly from 125 Castle Lane, the practice moving to the James Fisher Medical Centre in Tolpuddle Gardens, Muscliff, in 1986.
Beloved of Rosemary, and his numerous descendants, he was a pillar of the community and outstanding orator. A father figure to many; his wise counsel touching many lives.
Sometime Scout Commissioner, Magistrate and Master of the Apothecaries of London. In his long retirement his intellect and inquisitive nature actively sought the new. He was a great supporter of Forum.
There was never a dull moment! His garden and the ever-changing seasons brought him great joy. Active to the last, only last Sunday he celebrated at a party with his great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on 28 December, with donations to Apothecaries 400 Appeal and Dorset Gardens Trust.
