Local Flood Risk Management Strategy - Consultation

Dear Sir / Madam

Flooding is an issue for many residents in Bournemouth. As a Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA), Bournemouth Council is required to produce a Local Flood Risk Management Plan under the Floods and Water Management Act 2010 (F&WM Act).

Bournemouth Borough Council has published a DRAFT strategy open for public consultation from 21st September 2015 for 6 weeks following this date. We would like to formally invite you to read our strategy and complete a brief questionnaire, offering you an opportunity give feedback.

The strategy and questionnaire are accessible by following the link below or via the 'Flooding in Bournemouth' pages on the Bournemouth Borough Council website.

Local Flood Risk Management Strategy - Consultation

All responses are to be submitted through the online questionnaire. Please do not reply directly to this email.

If you would like to discuss any issues regarding the strategy, we invite you to attend our consultation 'Open Day' in the Willow Room at the Main Town Hall on 19th October from 10am to 7pm, where officers will be present to answer any of your questions.

This is your opportunity to influence how flooding from local sources can be better managed across the borough. Your local knowledge and views are important and will help shape how future flooding will be managed.

Yours sincerely,
Anthony Kirby CEng MICE
