Bournemouth Borough Council will hold a By-election in Throop and Muscliff for a new Councillor for the ward following the retirement of Cllr Anne Rey, who is moving to Spain. There, with her husband, she will be running a British restaurant, while fully intending to keep in touch with her hometown and making regular return visits.
Cllr Rey has represented the ward for many years as an Independent, where together with the late Cllr Ron Whittaker she is highly respected for her constituency work including, protecting the local Green Belt, her charity fund raising, and for her support of Muscliff Park community events.
Her commitment to TMSTH Forum will be greatly missed, and the committee wish Mrs Rey the best for the future.
Polling will take place on Thursday 18th January 2018 and polling hours will be from 7am to 10pm.
The deadline to apply for a postal vote, for this election, has now passed.
The deadline to apply for a proxy vote is no later than 5pm on 10th January 2018.
