Troika Withdraws Park and Ride Planning Application

1st November 2012

It has been confirmed that Troika has withdrawn its application for renewal of planning application for the green belt Park and Ride Site and Grade Separated Junction over the A338 at Riverside Avenue.

This application runs in conjunction with one for B1 Offices behind the Hospital and surrounding the National Retired Nurses Home. The B1 offices consent has a condition that says it can't be brought into use before the road junction and Park and Ride are completed, so in effect this consent (which expires next year) can't now be implemented either.

Forum has fought for eight years to save the Riverside green belt - September 2004 to October 2012 - and everyone's efforts are now proved worthwhile.
